Alto Linda Haertling has been with Cantabile for seven and a half years. A Boulder native, she graduated from Boulder High School and received her BA in Music from CU Boulder. Linda serves as a Boulder Arts Commissioner with the City of Boulder Office of Arts and Culture and has been involved with local arts events including the Boulder Arts Week project. Linda is also a member of the board of the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau.
During a stint in Ohio, Linda sang with the Cleveland Orchestra chorus and she plays the piano and the flute. She also enjoys singing at piano bars. Linda is a fully paid up member of the Divine Society of Altos. Her favorite choral piece is Bach’s St. Matthew Passion.
A Speech/Language Pathologist in the Adams 12 Five Star school district, Linda received her MA in Speech/Language Pathology from Kent State University. She is past chair and current secretary of the Metro Speech/Language Conference. She was drawn to the field because when she was five she lied about her birthday and her speech therapist threw her a party. When she heard her mother reveal, after the party, that it wasn’t her birthday they both laughed and she didn’t get in trouble.
Linda enjoys hiking and traveling and given a week with no commitments, she would travel to Europe or Japan.
