Boulder's Cantabile Singers look back on long history
The beginnings of the Cantabile Singers lie so far back in history that they're shrouded in myth.
Only one thing seems absolutely certain about the 38-voice ensemble: it developed out of the earlier St. Cecilia Singers, which came into being around 1978.
"There were several of us who wanted to sing in a small group," says Doug Burger, a St. Cecilia founder still active in Cantabile. "We got together in homes and read through things. It was great fun."
