The Struggle We Share
February
In moments of struggle and sadness, we feel alone and unique. However, the fact that we all experience challenges and feel these emotions is a testament to a commonality we share. As we work through difficulty, we learn from it and can feel joy and love more deeply.
In this concert, we seek to understand and be compassionate by experiencing the music and texts of those who have expressed their struggle through art. Centerpieces of the program include Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Jeffrey Van’s A Procession Winding Around Me.
