A Holiday Concert to benefit Emergency Family Assistance Association
The Cantabile Singers, under the direction of Robert Farr, performed “Songs of the Mother & Child” on Friday, December 11 at 7:30 pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 3700 Baseline Road in Boulder and on Saturday, December 19 at 7:30pm at First Congregational Church, 1500 9th Avenue in Longmont.
The program included lullabies and settings of the Magnificat and Ave Maria by Dello Joio, Biebl, Holst and others.
These performances benefited Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA). For each ticket sold, $2.00 was donated to EFAA. Audience members were also encouraged to bring non-perishable food contributions.
EFAA has been meeting the community’s basic needs since 1918. EFAA provides food and shelter to families who need a hand up in times of financial difficulties. Working with families, seniors and the disabled in Boulder and Broomfield Counties, EFAA provides assistance to help people return to stability and self-sufficiency.
“EFAA appreciates this generous partnership with the Cantabile Singers to help people in need in Boulder County. We are grateful for their support and for the joy they bring with their music.”
EFAA Executive Director Terry Benjamin
